
BIOGRAPHY
Christopher T. Cohron
is Commonwealth's
Attorney for the
Eighth Judicial Circuit(Warren County). He was elected to the position in May 2004, after previously serving
as First Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney.
Mr. Cohron is currently President of the Kentucky Commonwealth's Attorneys Association and also serves as the legislative liaison for the Commonwealth's
Attorney's Association. In 2008, Chris was
appointed to the Prosecutors Advisory Council, as well as, the Kentucky Criminal Justice Council.
Chris has previously represented the Commonwealth's Attorneys Association during the 2006 Blue Ribbon Commission on Sentencing Reform. He was the keynote speaker to the first convention of the Kentucky Narcotics Officer's Association. Chris represents the Commonwealth's Attorneys Association on the Kentucky Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse Council. Chris was named Kentucky's Outstanding
Commonwealth's Attorney for 2007. Chris was also named Kentucky's Outstanding Prosecutor in 2008 by the Kentucky Elder Abuse Council.
EDUCATION
Chris is a graduate of Bowling Green High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky. After he graduated from high school, he then attended and graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in which he received a Baccalaureate of Art Degree. Chris pursued his career at Cumberland School of Law of Samford University and received his Law Degree.
