VINE - Victim Information and Notification Everyday

In February 1996, the Kentucky Department of Corrections implemented the first ever statewide victim notification system. In the following year, the DOC consolidated these services under the Office of Victim Services, and the VINE program quickly became the cornerstone of these services. VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday) is the automated notification system that alerts victims about a change in the custody status of their offender. This system now includes data from county jails, prisons, mental health facilities and juvenile detention centers.
